
KAREN LUSTER, MD

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Karen Luster, now a Georgian, is originally from Memphis, TN. She attended college at
Xavier University of Louisiana
in New Orleans graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in biology. She then attended medical school at
Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her post-graduate training at the
J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Primary Care Track at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She furthered her training with a year of fellowship in
Women's Health at Emory University.
Dr. Luster stayed on staff at
Emory University for several years teaching, working as a part-time hospitalist and later as the associate medical director for the residency clinics at
Grady Health Systems before going into private practice.
Dr. Luster has maintained board certification with the
American Board of Internal Medicine and is an active member of the
American Medical Association and the
American College of Physicians where she is a fellow.
Dr. Luster absolutely loves caring for patients. When not caring for patients she enjoys spending time with her family.
